CA Superintendent of Education, Thurmond, Convenes a Summit of Key State Leaders to Accelerate Housing Development at public schools across CA. LINK

The summit marked the official launch of Superintendent Thurmond’s housing initiative, to develop 2.3 million housing units utilizing 75,000 acres of surplus land owned by school districts across the state.


Malaga Cove School and Admin Offices

Lunada Bay Elementary School

In PVE, our children’s playgrounds and sports fields are located on school grounds, so our children’s are greatly impacted by these changes.

Repurposing our school land requires the approval of the School Board.
